Springfield, Missouri, based Imperial Coach Builders, a subsidiary of the Electric Car Company, will add 48 inches to the wheelbase of the Nissan, coach-building the panels required to double its seating capacity.

The Electric Car Company is a specialist in EV conversions, fitting electric drivetrains to existing conventionally powered vehicles.

Imperial Coach Builders, its wholly-owned subsidiary, is based in a 60,000sq.ft facility in Springfield and also engaged in custom work, building vehicles for fleets, VIP transport and delivery companies.
