Audi AG has provided a glimpse of what to expect from their upcoming Audi R8 e-tron, which will feature an e-audio sound that can be clearly heard once the acceleration pedal is depressed.

Most interestingly, the Audi R8 e-tron will be fitted with a sound system-like piece of technology that calculates specific movements and actions from the driver, and in real-time generates its sound. Designed to sound and feel like a conventional fossil-fuel powered vehicle, the e-audio system will generate a sound that is both sporty, yet not too loud that it is effects the noise level of the interior cabin.

The e-sound system fitted onto upcoming Audi models will increase the safety of both cyclists and pedestrians, making it far easier to hear any such vehicles oncoming.
