The firm owns, installs, maintains and operates rapid DC chargers, and Rushin – who has been a major figure in the UK renewable energy sector for over a decade – will help drive InstaVolt’s work to expand its network.

Rushin has more than 25 years’ executive management experience and previously spent six years with Chinese solar panel firm Trina Solar, where he held the role of UK country manager and senior sales manager – Europe.

Tim Payne, CEO, said: “Our charger roll-out plan is moving ahead at real pace and now is the perfect time for us to appoint a commercial director as we really ramp up installation across the UK. Our aim is to have the simplest and most reliable charging network out there. It’s what will make our customers happy and, ultimately, help us become the market leader in on-the-go, rapid charging. Richard will be instrumental in making this happen and we’re thrilled to have him on-board.”
