LeasePlan pilot to help fleets transition to EVs

LeasePlan is launching a new electric vehicle pilot programme to help corporates make the switch to electric vehicles.

EV on charge

The LeasePlan EV pilot addresses charging infrastructure as well as vehicles.

Announced today at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP23) in Bonn, Germany, the fully scalable programme will enable fleets to pilot electric vehicles while also facilitating the implementation of charging infrastructure at customers’ offices and employees’ homes. The programme can also cover the use of 100% renewable energy where possible.

The launch follows the leasing giant’s announcement earlier this autumn that it has joined the EV100 programme as it looks to migrate its customers to EVs in line with its ambition to achieve net zero emissions from the corporate automotive sector by 2030.

The full pilot will be available in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and the UK from December, with a further rollout planned for Italy, Spain and Sweden in the first quarter of 2018.For more of the latest industry news, click here.
