Toshiba Tec chooses all-Auris Hybrid engineer fleet

By / 10 years ago / International News / No Comments

The Surrey-based company, which provides technical support for computerised point of sale and retail information systems and barcode printers, has ordered the first 28 vehicles through Currie Motors Toyota Centre in Twickenham.

It chose the petrol-electric Auris Hybrid for its 76.3mpg economy and 85g/km CO2 emissions, combined with the large load area and one-touch folding bench of the Touring Sports.

Brian Goddard, Toshiba Tec fleet and facilities co-ordinator, said: ‘We wanted to secure the most modern and economical solution, a vehicle that has strong environmental qualities that supports our drive to reduce our carbon emissions, but which equally can provide our engineers with reliable transport and the space they need for their equipment.’
