Early adopters had been among its key accounts, multinational companies and government authorities at both local and national levels. Among its customers to date, the carmaker said a share of the 4,000 cars delivered had gone to companies including General Electric, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Airbus, EDF, Allianz, Europcar, and ChoosEV.

As an ongoing plan, PSA has plans to extend its customer base to small and medium sized companies, using initiatives such as the Mu by Peugeot online rental service and Citroen Call Car rapid rental service to get the technology used more widely.

‘The deployment of Stop & Start solutions, diesel hybrids and zero-emission vehicles must enable PSA Peugeot Citroën to increase its leadership in the European low-carbon vehicle segment and extend its expertise to other markets,’ said Frédéric Saint-Geours, executive vice president, brands and member of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Managing Board.
