Production EX9 9F could be Bentley's first plug-in hybrid

By / 12 years ago / International News / No Comments

First shown at the Geneva Auto Salon in March, where its aggressive, radical looks were one of the biggest talking points of the event, the concept car appeared in Beijing with a 600bhp twin-turbo W12 petrol engine. Unchanged in style, the SUV features 23-inch alloy wheels and rifled turbo air intake tubes in the centre of its daytime running lights.

The plug-in hybrid version would be a first for Bentley, featuring a V6 petrol engine and electric motor, offering a 30-mile pure electric range and 130g/km emissions, yet capable of reaching 62mph in under 5 seconds. Bentley said a 4.0-litre petrol V8 was also being considered, though even the car itself hasn’t been confirmed.
