Silverstone Fleet Show: Visitors to get a real insight into true MPG costs

ALD will be exhibiting with live interactive demonstrations of its award-winning in-vehicle telematics technology, ProFleet2, and joins a large number of leading fleet service firms exhibiting at the Show on 9th April to showcase the latest developments for the fleet industry.

Rhys Harrhy, telematics consultant at ALD Automotive, said: ‘Our telematics system can provide companies with accurate mileage capture, journey reports, vehicle service reminders and data on CO2 emissions, as well as accurate fuel consumption. All this information helps fleet managers keep costs down.

‘We’re encouraging visitors at the show who are either experienced or new to fleet management technology to drop by our stand for a relaxed informal discussion on what we’re doing for fleets up and down the country.

‘Over the last few years we’re seeing more and more companies, which may have not been aware of the benefits in-vehicle technology, now turning to telematics to reduce insurance premiums and analyse and improve fleet performance. All of which helps them to manage their fleet vehicles and drivers more effectively.

‘Alongside exhibiting our fleet management technology, we’ll also be running the final of this year’s Fleet Driver of the Year competition. The competition, which aims to find the best company car driver, puts fleet drivers’ skills to the ultimate test through a three month driving assessment, including the use of ProFleet2 telematics. The top ten drivers will then compete against each other in a series of driving challenges at the Fleet Show before the winner is crowned.’

As well as a wide line-up of exhibitors, this year’s Silverstone Fleet Show also offers an extensive line-up of carmakers and models to test drive on Silverstone’s iconic Grand Prix circuit PLUS an exciting new seminar and training format that will provide practical hands-on advice and guidance across a range of fleet management disciplines.
