UK's first Tesla rental fleet arrives in London

By / 10 years ago / International News / No Comments

The company, which launched early this year, expects to have all ten vehicles available by the end of the year, growing to 15 during 2015 and with plans to open additional centres in Bristol and Manchester shortly afterwards.

Typical rentals at the moment are between two and five days, but the vehicles can be rented for anything between one and 30 days, giving businesses, prospective buyers and enthusiasts access to the electric luxury car for ownership experiences, events, promotional work and induction sessions.

The fleet is owned outright, and will be replaced every 12 months, and Eden EV has already put orders in for Tesla’s Model X electric SUV, which is due to begin production early next year. Customers are given a full demonstration of the car's features and a short test drive, with the opportunity to ask questions, at the point of delivery.

Holly Peters, director of Eden EV, said: ‘The Model S represents what we believe to be a true revolution in motoring. A fearless triumph, delivering the most luxurious, technologically sophisticated, highest performance ride conceivable and that is in our opinion the only electric vehicle to offer a viable alternative to conventional cars.

‘Vitally, it does so not only without compromise but whilst raising the bar for all.’
