Vauxhall Combo-e Life: Pricing and specs revealed

The fully electric Vauxhall Combo-e Life is now available to order, bringing five- or seven-seat practicality and a range of up to 174 miles.

Priced from £31,610 – including the £2,500 Plug-in Car Grant – the Combo-e Life joins the existing ICE versions of the Combo Life people carrier and is aimed at private users, as well as businesses which will benefit from its 1% Benefit-in-Kind rating.

It feature a 136hp electric motor that provides 260Nm of torque and is powered by a 50kWh lithium-ion battery.

Alongside its official 174-miles range, the battery supports up to 100kW rapid charging, giving an 80% charge in 30 minutes. All Combo-e Life models come as standard with a single-phase 7.4kW on-board charger, with an optional three-phase 11kW charger also available.

They also benefit from Vauxhall’s EV-wide offer of eight years’ battery warranty, eight years’ roadside assistance and six months’ BP Pulse subscription.

It’s available in two sizes: a Medium and a longer XL variant. Medium models can be specified in either five- or seven-seat configurations and bring 597 litres of boot space, extending up to 2,126 litres of space with the rear row folded. XL vehicles are offered exclusively with seven seats and come with 850 litres of space, and up to 2,693 litres with the rear rows folded.

Both are rated to tow up to 750kg and come with trailer stability technology. They also get nearside and offside sliding side-access doors, 60/40 split-folding seats for the second row and a fully folding front passenger seat to extend the load area.

Both models are solely offered in SE trim, which brings 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights with high-beam assist, a panoramic rear-view camera and automatic windscreen wipers and electrically adjustable and foldable door mirrors.

Onboard tech includes Vauxhall’s Multimedia system with an eight-inch colour touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also included is Vauxhall Connect, which allows drivers to access vehicle information and charge status and live traffic updates when on the move. It also provides Vauxhall’s e-Call and b-Call emergency assistance technology. SE models also come standard with a 3.5-inch colour instrument display.

Safety and driver assist features include rear parking sensors and panoramic rear-view camera, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, cruise control with speed limited and speed sign recognition.

The Combo-e Life starts first deliveries in October.
