£1.4m Investment In Charging Points for Corby
These form part of the Electric Corby project, which the council hopes will bring new jobs and investment to the town, and help with the uptake of electric vehicles. The points are funded by the government’s Plugged In Places scheme, and will cost over £1.4m with Corby Council contributing £49,500.
Priority sites, listed as the Corby Cube and swimming pool car park, Corby Enterprise Centre, Priors Hall Park housing development and the nearby Rockingham Speedway. Suppliers are tendering this week to carry out the installation, with a Wednesday deadline.
