The Kia EV2 Long Range has officially become eligible for the Government’s maximum £3,750 Band 1 Electric Car Grant (ECG), dropping its entry-level on-the-road starting price to £24,245.

The grant applies directly to three specific trims equipped with the 61.0kWh Long Range battery: the Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S. These models deliver an all-electric driving range of up to 275 miles on a single charge.
Alongside the EV2 Long Range variants, the EV2 First Edition continues to qualify for the ECG, receiving a £1,500 reduction in its on-the-road price.
Introduced as a highly specified launch edition of Kia’s newest compact electric SUV, the EV2 First Edition remains available from £26,995 OTR with the grant applied.
The EV2 joins an expanding roster of grant-eligible Kia models. The Korean carmaker remains one of only seven automotive brands in the UK to offer electric vehicles that meet the stringent environmental manufacturing credentials required for the maximum government grant.
The EV2, EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger are all available with the ECG discount, with selected grades qualifying for either the maximum Band 1 £3,750 or Band 2 £1,500 grant.
Each of these models is available to order now at Kia dealerships across the UK, and PBV Centres for the PV5 Passenger.
