ALD Automotive delivers fleet of 14 Nissan LEAFS in France

The firm, a specialist in cooling systems of engines based in Marseille and Aubagne, is particularly involved in voluntary environmental initiatives and decided to select electric vehicles in order to go emission-free.

The firm has identified 14 employees eligible to use the EVs. Each of them has a daily commute of less than 50km daily to reach the offices of Group Mota from home. Candidates have also agreed to generalise the practice of carpooling.

The 100% electric fleet is funded by ALD Automotive on a five-year lease. To enable battery charging, 14 terminals have been installed in the parking lot of the corporate offices. Mota Group has also installed a fast charging infrastructure, which is available to its visitors.

To date , this technology is not widespread,’ said Gérard Mota, CEO of the group. ‘However, we believe that this provision of electric cars should allow improvement in the purchasing power of our people, while limiting the environmental impact of trips from home to work up the majority of our employees travel .’

‘Like the Mota Group , more and more companies are seeking to promote a more sustainable mobility,’ added Didier Blockade, head & electromobility car sharing at ALD Automotive.
