The EVlink unit recently became the first charging point to be certified Z.E. Ready by Renault, ahead of the launch of the carmaker’s electric range next year, in a scheme aimed at standardising charging equipment.

ALD said it will be used to provide staff with a free recharging point.

Jerry Clist, maintenance controller at ALD Automotive, said: ‘We are witnessing a growing demand for quotes for electric vehicles and to help gain a better insight into all the issues with EV’s we wanted to have a charging service on site as part of this evaluation.

‘The Schneider Electric charger is fast, convenient and extremely easy to use and will come as a great benefit for EV customers looking to run their business more efficiently.’
