APCOA Parking UK is launching further charge points across the UK, including ramping up the infrastructure at Network Rail stations.

A planned 12-month rollout will increase the number of charge points at Network Rail stations to 750

The car park operator has already launched more than 500 charging points across the UK, including its first Urban Mobility Hub, located at St Catherine’s Walk Car Park in Carmarthen, Wales. The hub is equipped with 5x 22kW AC fast chargers and 12x V3 Tesla Superchargers – capable of delivering peak charge rates up to 250kW and marking its first ultra-rapid site with Tesla.

It also provides 460x 22kW AC fast EV chargers across seven Network Rail stations and a planned 12-month rollout will increase this number to 750. Customers visiting these stations can pay for both their parking and EV charging in one transaction.

The parking giant is also using analytics software to continuously monitor onsite availability and utilisation, allowing it to expand at these sites as required.

In Q2 2023, APCOA is planning to expand by a further 250 EV charge points, a combination of ultra-rapids and fast EV charge-points, including key locations such as Banstead, Bromley Civic Centre and Sheffield.
