Arnold Clark has launched a new campaign to help drivers thinking of going electric.

Arnold Clark is offering a free home charger and installation for customers buying a pre-registered or used electric vehicle until 30 June

Until 30 June 2023, customers buying a pre-registered or used electric vehicle at the dealer group will get a free home charger and installation worth £929.

The offer includes an EVEC (untethered) EV smart charger, which will be installed by Bumblebee, recently acquired by Arnold Clark and a key part in its plans to supply customers with EV chargers.

Earlier this month, Arnold Clark also announced that it’s investing some £23m to install more than 500 electric vehicle chargers across the UK.

Due to be fully installed by the end of 2023, the ‘Arnold Clark Charge’ network is expected to make the company one of the largest independent charging infrastructure suppliers in the UK.

Other initiatives to help drivers go electric include the Arnold Clark Innovation Centres in Glasgow and Stafford – where drivers can learn all about electric vehicles and test-drive a host of new and used electric vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers onsite.

Research published by Auto Trader in April 2023 indicates that the EV market is in a “precarious position” due to waning demand from private drivers. It’s called for “more information, more incentives, and more equality” to build buyer confidence in EVs, including used vehicles.
