The Q4 e-tron 40 delivers a new entry point to Audi’s fully electric line-up

Priced from £46,600 for the SUV body style and £48,100 for the Sportback, it’s equipped with a smaller 63kWh battery that enables electric ranges of up to 250 miles and 258 miles respectively.

It’s powered by a 204hp rear-mounted motor, enabling 0-62mph acceleration in 8.1 seconds, a top speed of 99mph, and has an official combined electric power consumption of 3.9 miles/kWh.

The towing capacity of both model variants is 1,000kg at an incline of 12% and 1,200kg at an 8% incline.

The battery is able to charge at up to 165kW, giving a 10 to 80% charge in 24 minutes at a fast-charging station. As with other Q4 models, the 40 e-tron also comes with intelligent route planner and automatic battery preconditioning while drivers who like to plan their charging stops themselves now have the option of manually enabling battery preheating to ensure the best charging results.

Trim levels include Sport, S Line and Black Edition. Standard equipment includes Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi Connect navigation & infotainment with ChatGPT, and the fully digital 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit instrument cluster.

The Audi Q4 e-tron was the UK’s second best-selling electric vehicle in 2024.

Sales of the new Q4 e-tron 40 open from 13 March.
