Audi e-tron now available via Onto subscription service

The Audi e-tron is now available via the Onto subscription service for an all-in monthly fee of £1,299 for the 55 Black Edition.

The all-inclusive monthly fee of £1,299 for the Audi e-tron 55 Black Edition covers insurance, free charging, servicing, breakdown cover and up to 1,000 miles of charging

The electric SUV is the latest EV to join the scheme and requires no deposit or long-term commitment; the minimum usage period is one month.

Up to 300 Audi e-tron 55 Black Editions are being offered via Onto. The all-inclusive monthly fee of £1,299 covers insurance, free charging, servicing, breakdown cover and up to 1,000 miles of charging.

Audi added that while the monthly fee for usage may initially seem uncompetitive versus more traditional contract hire and PCP rates, it’s actually comparable in terms of total cost of ownership when taking into account the lack of deposit needed and the inclusion of insurance, charging and servicing.

Customers will also be asked to pay a fee of £49.50 to cover delivery to their preferred UK address, which can be carried out within as little as 72 hours.

At the end of each month, users have the option to continue, switch model or just pay the £49.50 collection fee and walk away.

“Although it’s an increasingly unfounded viewpoint, electrification and additional complication still go hand in hand in the eyes of many drivers, so our involvement with Onto will be valuable as a means of dismantling as many perceived obstacles to EV ownership and usage as possible,” said director of Audi UK Andrew Doyle.

Based on the S line trim, the Black Edition features privacy glass, matrix LED headlamps and 21-inch alloy wheels with black detailing. It also gets lowered adaptive sport air suspension corners. Onboard equipment includes the Audi Virtual Cockpit, smartphone interface, Audi Phone box wireless smartphone connectivity and charging, and the touchscreen MMI Touch system with its dual monitors.

The e-tron Black Edition 55 quattro has an official range of up to 235 miles, with 402hp and up to 664Nm of torque. The 95kWh battery can take a DC charge at up to 150kW, giving around an 80% charging in about half an hour.
