Tusker is using AX’s bespoke electric vehicle hire solution to enhance its salary sacrifice offering, ensuring an EV-for-EV replacement vehicle guarantee for non-fault hires.

Kit Wisdom said the AX Electric solution enables Tusker to provide an incredibly consistent EV service to customers

The two firms have already worked together for the past nine years, during which time accident aftercare specialist AX has supplied Tusker with its tailored non-fault credit hire services.

Since then, Tusker has rapidly grown in the provision of battery electric vehicles – which accounted for more than 60% of all new vehicle orders in 2021 and an already rapidly growing order book for 2022.

To support its continuing electrification expansion – and ensure a continued zero-emission route for drivers already on the EV journey – Tusker has deployed the AX Electric offering.

Launched last year and rolled out straight away at Tusker, AX’s service provides Tusker customers with a 100% EV-for-EV replacement vehicle guarantee.

It means EV hires now represent 40% of all of Tusker’s non-fault replacement vehicle hires, supporting the company’s work to be carbon-neutral in both its operations and its entire fleet by offsetting the tailpipe carbon emissions of every car it puts on the road.

Kit Wisdom, operations director at Tusker, said: “We decided to partner with AX because its proposition focuses on the driver journey and allows us to provide an incredibly consistent service to our customers.

“When you consider that most of our customers have committed to a salary sacrifice scheme, it’s really important we are able to offer a consistently first-rate service in the event of their vehicle being involved in an incident which isn’t their fault. That includes the provision of a vehicle which is similar to their own in terms of quality, size or fuel type – something which is only emphasised by electric vehicles.”

Scott Hamilton-Cooper, managing director at AX Automotive, added: “Tusker is the perfect example of how there is already significant demand for an EV-specific provision like AX Electric and we look forward to continuing the growth of this service as Tusker customers make their transition to electric vehicles.”
