Beijing-Shanghai charging corridor opens

The route, which spans around 800 miles, was electrified by Chinese utility company State Grid Corporation, offering rapid charging stops within short distances of the major cities Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Tianjin and Beijing.

All of the points were installed to meet Chinese charging standards, said to be the fourth largest in the world behind the US, Europe and Japan, and are compatible with the full range of electric vehicles sold in the region.
