UK charge point operator Believ is expanding its range with new rapid and ultra-rapid charge point solutions from global firm Wallbox.

The rapid and ultra-rapid devices will address growing demand for en-route and destination charging

The new 60kW, 120kW, 150kW and 220kW Supernova models will address growing demand for en-route and destination charging where dwell times are generally shorter than on-street, residential locations. Wallbox’s hardware technology is also scalable, helping to future-proof installations.

The first installation under this partnership has already been deployed in Scotland, setting the stage for further nationwide installations.

The deal is part of Believ’s ongoing strategy to work with suppliers across all speeds of charge point to support a wide-ranging portfolio of future-proofed hardware.

Guy Bartlett, Believ CEO, said the relationship furthers its commitment to deliver the right charger in the right location.

“Our goal is to deliver the robust infrastructure that not only serves existing EV drivers but also encourages more to make the transition away from petrol and diesel vehicles,” he stated.

“Drivers need to see charging technology working well at convenient locations that serve regular journeys, as well as their favourite restaurants, coffee shops and supermarket destinations. Crucial to this is that CPOs deliver the full range of charging speeds depending on site needs and driver dwell times.”

Douglas Alfaro, chief fast charging officer at Wallbox, commented: “Partnering with Believ allows us to bring our high-performance charging technology to more drivers across the UK, ensuring they have access to fast, reliable charging where they need it most.

“With our scalable solutions, we’re not only addressing today’s charging needs but also supporting the UK’s transition to an electrified future.”
