BMW to offer green electricity for EVs under Good Energy deal

Good Energy sources all its electricity from certified renewables across Britain, enabling BMW to provide its EV customers in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) with access to 100% green electricity at home.

BMW said the deal means that it will be the first electric vehicle manufacturer in the UK to offer ‘a holistic product portfolio including a specially developed and purpose-designed home charging unit with complementary green electricity products and services’.

The two firms will also work closely to further develop custom-made green electricity tariffs for EVs.

The deal follows a similar partnership signed in the US by BMW and SolarCity.
