BP Pulse has launched a new EV charging hub at its existing retail site near Stansted Airport.

The hub features ultra-rapid 300kW chargers capable of charging two cars simultaneously

The hub, located just a five-minute drive away from the airport, features ultra-rapid 300kW chargers capable of charging two cars simultaneously, providing a total of six charging bays.

The set-up is intended to maximise convenience for those on the go, including travellers and taxi drivers visiting the airport.

Located just off the A120, the hub also provides on-site amenities such as BP’s Wild Bean Cafe and an M&S Simply Food store.

Akira Kirton, CEO at BP Pulse UK, said: “The launch of this new charging hub is yet another step in our commitment to expanding our charging network and supporting the expansion of the UK’s EV infrastructure. The site’s close proximity to Stansted Airport makes it the ideal choice for travellers and taxi drivers who need a quick and convenient charge.”

BP Pulse is working to significantly expand its charging network and support the growth of the UK’s EV infrastructure. More than 150 of its UK retail sites already have charging bays, although it’s warned that ongoing barriers to implementing charging infrastructure include securing high-power grid connections and planning permissions.
