The pair of Mercedes-Benz E-CELL Traveliners form part of ongoing plans to replace at least 10% of its 13,000-strong fleet with electric models, and will offer transport between offices in Staines and Windsor, as well as train stations nearby.

Supplied by Mercedes-Benz Retail Group, through a contract hire agreement with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, the vehicles include repair and maintenance at the Rygor dealer near Heathrow, plus 24-hour emergency assistance.

British Gas electric vehicle specialist, James Rooney, said: “We’re committed to reducing our carbon emissions and minimising the impact of our operations on the local environment. These new vehicles, which produce no pollutants and are also exceptionally quiet in operation, will help to strengthen our commitment.”
