BYD has partnered with Arval for the arrival of BYD Lease in the UK.

The fully electric Dolphin, Seal, Atto 3 and the Sealion 7 SUV, as well as the Seal U PHEV are all available via BYD Lease

The new leasing outfit will offer both personal and business contract hire across the full BYD range. This includes the fully electric Dolphin hatchback, Seal saloon, Atto 3 SUV and the incoming Sealion 7 SUV, as well as the Seal U plug-in hybrid SUV.

It’s the latest development for BYD UK, which is celebrating another year of phenomenal growth.

The company officially launched in the UK in March 2023 and became the UK’s fastest-growing car brand in 2024, increasing its volume by 658% to over 8,700 cars.

Globally, in 2024, BYD sold 4.27 million new energy vehicles worldwide, making the company the third largest automotive brand in the world.

Steve Beattie, sales & marketing director at BYD UK, said the introduction of BYD Lease, formed with one of the top leasing companies in the UK, would make it even easier for customers to choose BYD.

“2024 was a really successful year for BYD, with the launch of first plug-in hybrid and hitting our 10,000th sale – in less than two years,” he added.

Eliott Woodhead, retail director, Arval UK, commented: “We are delighted to work with BYD and their franchise partners to help them promote and sell their innovative range of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. BYD’s ambitious volume aspirations complements our own plans for growth in the UK leasing sector and strengthens the existing relationship between BYD and the wider BNP Paribas Group.”
