Center Parcs has deployed its 200th electric vehicle from CLM Fleet Management, supporting its ongoing work on creating an eco-friendly fleet.

Center Parcs now runs 200 electric vehicles from CLM across its fleet

The luxury holiday village chain is committed to operating in a sustainable way, supported by ambitious targets to reduce carbon emissions. It plans for its entire fleet to consist of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2030.

CLM is central to these plans; it’s been working closely with Center Parcs since 2007 as its specialist fleet management partner, developing and refining the fleet of vehicles.

Thanks to CLM’s vehicle acquisition services, almost half (44%) of Center Parcs’ fleet is already electric across its UK and Ireland villages.

The fleet comprises various vehicle types, including vans, minibuses, pool cars and new restaurant runner vehicles, supporting various operations across the park.

CLM’s partnership with Center Parcs not includes vehicle acquisition services, but also accident management, repairs, vehicle reallocation and remarketing, providing a comprehensive package to meet all the holiday operator’s needs.

Chris Bland, group fleet and transport manager at Center Parcs UK & Ireland, said: “All our main fleet vehicles will be moving to electric or plug-in hybrid over the next seven years. It’s great that we’re able to work with a fantastic partner as we look to achieve our 2030 target.”

John Lawrence, chief executive officer at CLM, added: “Helping businesses go green is top of our agenda for 2023 and beyond. As a business, we are carbon neutral and have achieved ISO 14001 accreditation. It is great to work with organisations such as Center Parcs who share our sustainability vision.”
