Chrysler confirms plug-in hybrid minivan & full-size crossover

Few details have been announced but the carmaker's presentations showed that it will launch a plug-in hybrid version of Chrysler’s former Town & Country minivan, which Fiat Chrysler is planning to bring to market in 2016. The vehicle is said to offer around 75MPGe.

This will be followed by a full-sized crossover with a plug-in hybrid option. Little has been announced about this but Fiat Chrysler is reported to have said it will be a ‘new vehicle or renewal of existing nameplate’.

According to reports, Chrysler will launch several mild hybrids soon after the plug-in minivan but says fuel cell vehicles aren’t ‘commercially viable’ yet.
