UK reservations are now open for the Citroën Ami electric city vehicle ahead of its spring 2022 launch.

More than 13,000 Brits have already registered interest in the Ami and the vehicle is now available for registrations across the board

Already on sale in various markets in Europe, the tiny two-seater quadricycle was confirmed for the UK last week, bringing zero-emission motoring with a compact footprint.

More than 13,000 Brits have already registered interest in the Ami and the vehicle is now available for registrations across the board.

Customers can reserve the Ami with a £250 refundable reservation fee. UK pricing hasn’t been announced yet but is expected to be around £6k. Drivers will also benefit from exemption from Congestion and Ultra-low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) charges.

The Ami is capable of speeds of up to 28mph and has a range of up to 46 miles. The 5.5kWh lithium-ion battery, housed flat under the floor, can be recharged in three hours.

UK vehicles will be adapted for local use, but will remain left-hand drive. Drivers will also require a full UK driving licence, unlike in France where it can be driven by anyone over the age of 14 and is available on car sharing schemes.
