Citroën opens orders for budget-friendly C3 Aircross and ë-C3 Aircross
The new Citroën C3 Aircross is now available to order, offering petrol, mild hybrid or electric options, up to seven seats and budget-friendly pricing.
Now in its second generation, the Dacia Jogger rival is priced from £20,240 for the C3 Aircross and £22,990 for the ë-C3 Aircross.
It’s built on Stellantis’ value-focused Smart Car platform, also used for the smaller C3 supermini and the new Vauxhall Frontera.
The five-seater version measures 4.39m long and has claimed class-leading space in row two and boot capacity of 460 to 1,600 litres. The adjustable boot floor delivers a totally flat loading area.
A seven-seater version is available as an option with the petrol and mild hybrid versions only – not the fully electric version. Boot space falls to 40 litres with the rearmost seats in situ and 330 litres with them folded.
Three different powertrains are available. The entry level 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol outputs 100hp and is married up to a six-speed manual transmission. WLTP CO2 emissions are 136g/km.
The Hybrid 136 48V mild hybrid incorporates the PureTech engine with an electrified dual-clutch automatic transmission. This features a 28hp electric motor that’s powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery housed under the floor. It’s able to deliver 100% electric driving for almost 50% of urban use according to Citroën and has WLTP CO2 emissions of 121g/km.
The fully electric ë-C3 Aircross has a 113hp motor and a 44kWh battery for a range of up to 188 miles. It can recharge from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes from a 100kW DC rapid charger. An extended-range version will be available later in 2025.
Two trim levels, Plus and Max, are available. The entry level petrol is only available in the Plus grade.
Plus versions feature 17-inch diamond-cut bi-tone alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, as well as the Visibility Pack, which includes automatic rain-sensing front windscreen wipers, rear windscreen wiper with intermittent mode and ‘Welcome’ and ‘Follow-Me-Home’ lights.
The Plus grade also delivers head-up display and a compact steering wheel, along with Advanced Comfort seats and Advanced Comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic bump stops, and audio, cruise control and speed limit controls on the steering wheel.
The Max trim level adds front and rear parking sensors, a heated acoustic windscreen, as well as a bi-tone roof available in either black or white. In addition, there is blind spot monitoring, integrated fog lights and LED rear lights.
Inside, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats are included, along with a wireless smartphone charger.
Citroën Connect Navigation is included, meaning that customers are entitled to a 1-year free-of-charge subscription to Connect PLUS services. This feature includes real-time traffic updates, speed camera warnings, and automatic data connection via Citroën Connect Box emergency and assistance system.
First deliveries for the C3 Aircross and ë-C3 Aircross start around late spring.
