Citroën revamps trim levels on ICE and electric van range
Citroën has launched an online reservation platform for its van range while also introducing new trim levels across the line-up.
The new online platform, available via the Citroën UK website, is designed to simplify the purchasing process for van drivers and fleets.
Customers reserving a vehicle online, via a fully refundable £199 fee, will be contacted within one business hour to confirm all the details and add any part exchange details. They can then choose their preferred Business Centre to supply the vehicle, while benefiting from priority build and the option of home or office delivery.
Already available for the Berlingo Van and ë-Berlingo Van models, the service will roll out across the full LCV range in 2023.
Eurig Druce, managing director at the brand, said: “We know that ease and efficiency are key to the success of any business and this new platform allows customers the opportunity to reserve their new vehicle in a manner and at a time that is most convenient to them. Berlingo Van was the UK’s best-selling compact van in 2021 with continued success in 2022, and I am delighted that this platform will make it even easier for more businesses to expand their fleets with Citroën.”
At the same time, Citroën has announced new trim levels for its full LCV line-up. The Berlingo van/ë-Berlingo van and Dispatch/ë-Dispatch gain new ‘Enterprise Edition’ and ‘Driver Edition’ grades, which replace the previous ‘Enterprise Pro’ and ‘Driver Pro’ versions. For Relay and ë-Relay models, the former ‘Enterprise’ and ‘Driver’ trims bow out, to be replaced with a single ‘Enterprise Edition’ trim.
The new trims are intended to offer equipment more representative of fleet operators’ needs.
For the Berlingo and ë-Berlingo vans, Enterprise Editions variants come with air con, cruise control with a variable speed limiter, electric windows with one-touch operation, and electrically adjustable door mirrors. Standard safety tech includes Citroën Connect Box with Emergency and Assistance System, plus an alarm. The infotainment system provides an eight-inch colour touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and steering-mounted controls. Also standard is Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio and a USB port.
Driver Edition builds on the former Enterprise Edition grade with extra tech such as automatic windscreen wipers with Magic Wash integrated washer jets, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, as well as electrically folding heated door mirrors. Styling upgrades include 16-inch wheels, optional black alloy wheels and a ‘Look Pack’ with body-coloured side rubbing strips and matching rear bumper. Driver Edition variants also get a six-way adjustable driver’s seat with an adjustable headrest, lumbar support and under-seat storage, plus the Extenso modular folding passenger bench seat with pivoting writing table and additional storage. Other features include automatic handbrake, Citroën Connect Navigation, a multi-function steering wheel and voice recognition.
For the Dispatch, the ‘Enterprise Edition’ vans gain the latest Citroën Connect Box with Emergency and Assistance System, cruise control with variable speed limiter, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB port and a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Air con, one-touch electric windows as well as electrically adjustable door mirrors and an alarm are also standard. Styling features include 16-inch steel wheels with black centre caps and rear parking sensors, while a dual passenger bench seat with a storage tray also features.
Driver Edition variants also add front fog lights, automatic lights with integrated LED daylight running lights, as well as automatic windscreen wipers and electrically folding heated door mirrors. They also gain the latest Citroën Connect Nav with a three-year free subscription to real-time traffic updates, as well as the Visio Park 180° camera. Practical features include the Moduwork dual passenger bench seat with a fold-up outer seat and a load-through flap, as well as a fold-down writing table in the central seat back with integrated storage compartment. The ‘Look Pack’ seen on the Berlingo and ë-Berlingo also features.
The single trim available for the Relay and ë-Relay models delivers standard air con, cruise control with a variable speed limiter, electric front windows, and heated electrically adjustable mirrors. Depending on the version, 15-inch or 16-inch steel wheels are standard. Safety tech includes ESC with Hill Start Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution as well as remote central locking with deadlocking and a perimetric alarm.
Tech features bring a seven-inch colour touchscreen with DAB Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated satnav, Bluetooth, a USB socket and steering wheel-mounted controls for ease of use. Diesel variants also get a telematics black box for Free2Move Connect Fleet Services for business customers.
