Compact Toyota Hybrid Concept Cuts B-Segment CO2 Emissions in Half

By / 13 years ago / International News / No Comments

The FT-Bh (Future Toyota B-Segment Hybrid) weighs 800kg, tipping the scales at less than a three-door Aygo, but does so without using expensive or exotic materials and production processes. It features a downsized full hybrid powertrain, similar to the forthcoming Yaris HSD, and offers similar interior space to others in its class.

Toyota said the car’s efficiency could be attributed to five areas of design and engineering, covering lightweight engineering, aerodynamics, powertrain efficiency, thermal energy management and electricity saving.
