Denmark's CLEVER to double fast charging network

The firm has upgraded its network to cover all ports and offer fast charging as standard, whilst now offering 263 charging points. In total the firm is planning to have more than 543 charging points with 22 kW, 43 kW and 50 kW fast charging in Denmark.

The move forms part of a new offensive strategy for infrastructure for electric cars in Denmark.

‘CLEVER’s Plan for 2015 means a massive improvement in the Danish infrastructure for electric vehicles and will make Denmark more attractive to international automakers to launch electric cars in and for Danish consumers with peace of stomach can invest in an electric car,’ said Lars Bording, CEO . director of CLEVER.

The firm added that it has an expectation for political support for extending the tax exemption for electric cars after 2015 to strengthen consumer confidence.
