The DS 3 Crossback E-Tense now has longer driving range of up to 212 miles on the WLTP cycle

The small SUV, which is priced from £31,500 (including the Plug-in Car Grant), has been on sale since 2019 and the new update gives it 13 more miles of range; up 7% from the previous figure of 199.

As with the new longer-range Peugeot e-208 and e-2008, with which the DS 3 Crossback shares its electric powertrain and underpinnings, the extra range is the result of specification, mechanical and technical updates.

It now features a heat pump that’s been developed with a moisture sensor for increased efficiency. Offered as standard, the heat pump enables heat to be produced by compression to generate hot air. As a result, energy consumption is greatly reduced.

The brand has also introduced a new gear ratio to further improve efficiency while the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense also shifts to new 17-inch A-rated tyres, developed by Continental and using a new compound with high silica technology to improve rolling resistance and reduce noise emissions.

The updated DS 3 Crossback E-Tense is on sale now.
