Electric Peugeot Partner Tepee to bring 100-plus mile range
Peugeot is to launch an electric version of its Partner Tepee MPV, bringing a range of over 100 miles on the NEDC cycle.
Making its worldwide launch at next month’s Geneva Motor Show and on sale in Europe in September, the five-seater model uses the electric set-up from the Partner Electric van, comprising a 49kW electric motor with two lithium-ion battery packs, which have an entire battery capacity of 22.5kW, located in the underframe at either side of the rear suspension.
This helps ensure that luggage capacity remains among the best in its category, giving 1,350 litres of boot space with five passengers aboard, or 3,000 litres with the rear seats folded. The Partner Tepee Electric also offers the option to remove the three seats in the middle row to create a completely flat load area.
Peugeot hasn’t indicated charging rates for the UK, but figures suggest it should be around eight hours on a dedicated charging point.
The traction battery is under warranty for eight years or 60,000 miles.
