Electric Vauxhall Movano-e van now on sale
Vauxhall’s Movano and electric Movano-e commercial vehicles are now on sale, priced from £30,755 and £61,085 respectively.
It’s the third generation for the brand’s large van and the first time that an electric variant has been offered – bringing a much-needed solution for fleets and joining the Combo-e LCV that also arrives this autumn. As of 2028, Vauxhall will only offer fully electric cars and vans in the UK.
The Movano panel van will be offered in three different lengths and three heights, bringing a maximum payload up to 2,110kg and a load volume of 17m3 – the equivalent of five Euro pallets – regardless of powertrain. The range also includes a seven-seat crew van and a chassis cab, and there will be 150 different versions of the Movano available via Vauxhall’s conversion specialists.
The Movano-e is solely available as a panel van and in either L3H2 or L4H2 lengths and with a full steel bulkhead. Both models feature a 120hp electric motor delivering 260Nm of torque and powered by a 70kWh battery, giving up to a 139-mile WLTP range.
Engine line-up for the standard Movano brings a 2.2-litre diesel that meets Euro 6.3 / Euro 6d emissions regulations and is available with either 140 or 165hp and with torque of 300Nm and 370Nmm, respectively. Both feature a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.
Two trim levels – Edition and Dynamic – are available for the diesel Movano while the electric Movano-e solely gets the higher-spec Dynamic.
Entry-level Edition variants come as standard with DAB radio and Vauxhall Connect. All models also get a one-sided sliding door, full steel bulkhead and seat belt reminders.
Dynamic models add DAB radio with Bluetooth, as well as a foldable, rotating tray and a tablet holder inside the glove box. Movano Dynamic models also feature Vauxhall’s pedestrian detection rear warning sound and rear parking assist.
Standard equipment on the electric Movano-e also includes with front fog lights and a painted radiator grille in the chosen body colour, plus a pedestrian detection rear warning sound that alerts drivers when pedestrians cross behind the van.
The Movano range also debuts a blind spot monitoring system, while a lane departure warning system is also available.
The Movano and Movano-e start first deliveries late 2021.
