Enso EV tyres now available nationwide in new deal
EV-specific tyres from London firm Enso are now available across the UK under a new partnership.
The business has linked with i247 Group, a specialist service provider of fleet and tyre management solutions, to roll out its high-performance EV tyres to more than 4,000 locations across the UK, including Halfords.
Mobile fitting services will also support fleets on the move, ensuring minimal downtime for drivers.
The partnership fills a crucial gap in the EV-specific tyre market, supporting the growing electric vehicle transition for high-mileage commercial drivers.
Enso’s EV tyres are specifically engineered to meet the demands of high-mileage and high-performance EVs, including delivery vans and ride-hailing vehicles.
Research has shown Enso’s tyres can boost EV range by 10%, cut particulate pollution by 35%, and reduce fleet costs per mile compared to other premium alternatives, helping fleets lower their total cost of ownership (TCO).
Gunnlaugur Erlendsson, CEO, said: “Choosing the right tyre can lead to significant cost savings every mile. Our fleet-first approach ensures high-mileage EV drivers have access to affordable tyres that last longer, increase EV range, and reduce pollution, putting more cash in drivers’ pockets and directly tackling tyre pollution.
“Our partnership with i247 Group fills a critical gap in the market for EV-specific high-performance tyres, helping both drivers and fleet operators adapt to the growing EV transition.”
Sam Mason, managing director of i247 Group, picked up: “Our partnership with Enso gives UK fleet operators and drivers access to groundbreaking tyre technology that improves efficiency, safety, and sustainability whilst reducing the total cost of ownership for EV fleet operators. I247’s extensive panel of suppliers allows Enso customers access to reactive and proactive tyre replacement services ensuring we keep vehicles and drivers on the road for longer ”
The partnership builds on Enso’s latest commercial developments, including a three-year strategic partnership with Uber that will provide thousands of UK and US Uber drivers access to specially discounted Enso tyres through a dedicated Buyer’s Club, further supporting the ride hailing firm’s transition to EVs.
Enso is also expanding its presence in the United States, developing a $500m (£401m) carbon-neutral tyre factory set to open in 2027. The US facility will initially produce over five million tyres annually, further supporting the global transition to electric mobility.
