Debuted in September in 380hp Performance and 550hp S6 e-tron variants, the new all-electric executive car gains A6 Sportback e-tron and Avant models, cutting entry pricing to £62,500 while still delivering up to 382 miles of range.

The second wave of launches also includes A6 e-tron quattro variants, priced from £75,000 and delivering 462hp from a twin-motor configuration that expands the all-wheel-drive line-up beyond the flagship S6 e-tron debuted in the first phase.

The new entry-level Sportback coupé and Avant estate models, known simply as A6 e-tron, are equipped with a single rear-mounted motor delivering up to 326hp (with the launch control function) and a smaller 83kWh battery. They’re able to deliver a maximum driving range of up to 382 miles in the A6 Sportback e-tron and up to 361 miles in the A6 Avant e-tron, depending on specification. This compares to the 463-mile maximum from the 100kWh battery the Performance versions.

Top speed in the new entry-level Sportback and Avant variants is 130mph and they’re able to hit 62mph from a standing start in 7.0 seconds, cut to 6.0 seconds for both with the standard-fit launch control function.

The 800V electrical architecture enables a maximum charging capacity of 225kW for the latest editions, down from the 270kW for their existing siblings, enabling a 10-80% charge in 21 minutes. Using an AC charging station or home charger delivering up to 11kW, they can be fully charged from flat in eight hours.

The new twin-motor A6 e-tron quattro further bolsters the fully electric line-up. Available again as a Sportback or Avant, its rear-mounted motor is combined with an additional asynchronous unit on the front axle, giving all-wheel drive and up to 462hp (with launch control).

The larger 100kWh battery delivers a WLTP range of 438 miles for the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and 415 miles for the Avant, depending on specification. In both bodystyles, 0-62mph takes 4.7 seconds, or 4.5 seconds with the help of launch control. Top speed is 130mph.

The larger battery delivers the same 270kW charging as the Performance variants and the A6 e-tron quattro can restore enough power to cover up to 192 miles in 10 minutes, and can also power up from 10 to 80% of full capacity in 21 minutes.

All versions in the A6 e-tron model line-up are available with Sport, S line and Edition 1 specification options.

Sport versions are kitted out with 20-inch alloy wheels, rear LED light strip and illuminated rear Audi rings. Inside, the curved Audi Multimedia Interface (MMI) panoramic display features an 11.9-inch driver display and 14.5-inch MMI infotainment touchscreen, complete with the new Audi Assistant and Audi app store.

The S line specification delivers sportier body styling, privacy glass and special interior detailing, including a new three-spoke steering wheel flattened at the top and bottom.

The Edition 1 option builds on this with a black styling package and an upgrade to 21-inch wheels and matrix LED headlamps with a range of active light signatures. The cabin gets a 10.9-inch MMI front passenger touch display, extended trim in sustainable Dinamica microfibre, steering wheel heating and auxiliary air conditioning, while several additional driver assistance features also debut.

José Miguel Aparicio, director of Audi UK, said: “Our new variants offer all these strengths in packages that will hold even greater appeal for customers who are perhaps making their first foray into the upper midsize class. For drivers looking to travel as cleanly, efficiently and comfortably as possible, the A6 e-tron family will set new benchmarks in its segment.”

The new wave of models are available to order in the UK from 31 October and will reach their first customers by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
