The appointment follows on from her recent recruitment as head of energy and infrastructure at Aldermore Bank and will draw on her extensive experience leading on, and developing, decarbonisation policy.

From 2020 to 2024, she led the Green Finance Institute’s Coalition for the Decarbonisation of Transport, which focused on developing new financial products and solutions to help accelerate the decarbonisation of transport.

Prior to joining the GFI, Pamma worked at Lloyds Banking Group for 16 years, holding several financial, strategy and commercial roles, primarily within the asset finance division. This culminated in her position as electrification propositions lead for Lex Autolease and Black Horse, identifying ways to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

Pamma commented: “EVA England has been representing the views of EV drivers for many years and has fast become an integral voice in the transition to zero-emission vehicles.

“I’m delighted to be joining the EVA England board at a time when EV drivers really need a collective voice to ease the transition for all.”

EVA England said Pamma’s appointment to the board reinforced its dedication to making England’s transition to EVs faster and more. Last month saw the association launch its EV Drivers’ Manifesto, providing a voice for EV drivers on the issues that matter most to them, and outlining the key policy solutions that can help drive the sector forward.

James Court, CEO of EVA England, remarked: “It’s great to have someone of Lauren’s expertise, experience and drive join the board.

“Lauren’s previous work has helped move this agenda forward and she is widely recognised as a leading thinker in transport and finance policy which further boosts our board.”
