First Renault 5 E-Tech electric superminis arrive in UK
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric has landed in the UK, with the first shipment of over 200 making the trip across the Channel to Portbury Docks, near Bristol.

First customer deliveries are expected in spring 2025
Fresh from the French manufacturer’s Douai production line dedicated to the manufacture of Renault EVs, the first Renault 5 to drive off the Neptune Aegli vehicle carrier was a top-rung Iconic Five grade version finished in Pop Yellow! with a contrasting black roof.
Deliveries to showrooms begin shortly, aiding rising test drive requests, with first customer deliveries expected in spring 2025.
European Car of the Year and What Car? Car of the Year for 2025, the electric supermini combines the iconic Renault 5 moniker with retro styling, practicality and up to 252 miles of WLTP range.
Priced from £22,995, it’s also expected to prove popular for its affordability.
There is a choice of three trim levels (Evolution, Techno And Iconic Five) and either a 40kWh urban range battery with 120hp motor or a 52kWh comfort range battery with 150hp motor, depending on specification.
All models come with a heat pump as standard, as well as vehicle-to-load (V2L) bi-directional charging functionality.
