Fisker Ocean electric SUV lands on UK shores

American EV brand Fisker has delivered its first right-hand-drive Ocean electric SUV to a UK customer as its phased launch programme rolls out.

The vehicle was handed over by racing driver Abbie Eaton, Fisker’s official test driver since 2021, from the carmaker’s new ‘Lounge’ in Westfield London.

The site, which is the first UK Fisker location, opened its doors in July as a brand and product experience and is now being expanded to allow customers to test drive and collect vehicles.

The Ocean SUV is priced from £35,970, available in four trims and with up to 440 miles of range and 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds.

It’s initially being offered in the limited edition One grade, with deliveries proceeding during October and followed shortly by the top-rung Ocean Extreme.

Chairman and CEO, Henrik Fisker said: “We are delighted to start delivering our first right-hand-drive Fisker Oceans to our customers in the UK, which is a key market for Fisker. Today’s handover is another exciting step in our phased customer delivery programme in Europe and the US.

“With its world-class reputation, the chosen location attracts the right buyers for us and provides a lifestyle brand experience. So, Westfield London is the perfect setting also for our first UK customer delivery location, and we have plans to open additional locations across the UK in the coming months.”

The California-based carmaker also recently showcased its vision for a sustainable all-electric vehicle line-up by 2026 at its first-ever Product Vision Day.

Future vehicles include the Pear, billed as a sustainable city EV and expected to launch mid-2025, priced at $29,900 in the US and with an anticipated sub-£28k price tag in the UK. It’s designed to be “the future of clean and affordable mobility for a global mass market”.

Other vehicles revealed at the event included the Fisker Ronin, said to be the world’s first all-electric four-door convertible GT sports car and expected to be “ultra-luxury priced” and built in limited quantities.

The event also showcased the Alaska all-electric four-door pickup truck – since revealed in more detail – and the Force-E offroad package for the Ocean SUV, designed to maximise torque, power and best-in-class range.
