Fleet Alliance and ScottishPower unveil end-to-end ‘Fleet Zero’ EV solution

A new end-to-end solution that supplies fleets with optimum electric vehicles and rightsized charging solutions has launched from ScottishPower and Fleet Alliance.

The new Fleet Zero partnership supports businesses going electric by matching EVs to the right charging solutions

Dubbed Fleet Zero, it cuts hassle for businesses transitioning to sustainable fleets and simplifies the switch.

The partnership sees Glasgow-based leasing and fleet management specialist Fleet Alliance work with fleets to supply appropriate electric vehicles.

Leading green energy firm ScottishPower will then provide matching charging solutions, whether that’s home chargers for company car drivers, workplace chargers, or even charging facilities made available to the public. The full-service solution takes advantage of current grants and tax benefits, and is supported by ScottishPower’s green electricity tariffs.

Fleet Alliance has already witnessed a record number of EVs added to its managed fleet in the last 12 months – and CEO Andy Bruce said he was ‘very excited’ by prospects for the new partnership.

He added: “Fleet Zero is a great solution all-round for fleets. Our new partnership with ScottishPower provides the perfect opportunity to advance sustainable practices by matching the right EVs with the right EV charging solutions, whether it’s home chargers for company car drivers, the provision of workplace chargers, or depot chargers for commercial vehicle fleets with a return-to-base operation.”

ScottishPower retail CEO Andrew Ward commented: “To reach net zero, we know the UK needs to decarbonise transport faster and that’s why we have to make the switch to electric vehicles simpler.

“I’m delighted we are working with specialist firm Fleet Alliance to provide businesses with an easy turnkey solution that meets all their EV needs, from finding the right vehicles, to the matching chargers in the appropriate location and, of course, our 100% green electricity tariffs.

“The signals couldn’t be clearer – businesses are telling us they want electric vehicles faster than expected, and that means the decarbonisation of our transport system can be delivered quicker, too.”

Fleet Alliance is firmly committed to helping its customers decarbonise their fleets, as shown by its latest figures. In 2022, 66% of the leasing specialist’s new car orders were ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) with a third of these being pure electric vehicles.

The company’s electric car salary sacrifice scheme has been a key driver in this, helping employees slash the costs of going electric while also supporting employers with their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments.
