The company, which gets its name from Green NEW Transport, launched in 2009 and has a fleet of electric cargocycles and minivans used for collections and deliveries across Central London. It recently announced it was doubling its electric fleet with 55 new Renault Kangoo Z.E.s, with help from fleet mobility specialist Alphabet.

Gnewt will deploy the three Vito vans on its TNT Express contract, operating within the London Congestion Charge Zone. The vehicles were supplied through S&B Commercials on a contract hire basis, and the company has installed two Charging Solutions recharging points at its headquarters as its electric fleet grows.

Co-founder Sam Clarke said: ‘Our service, vehicles and micro consolidation hubs are precision-targeted to each client’s needs and locations, we create fulfilling work for local people, and best of all we have been independently verified to cut CO2 emissions per parcel delivered by upwards of 62%.’
