Go Ultra Low named as headline sponsor of Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference 2019
Go Ultra Low (GUL) has been announced as the headline sponsor for the 2019 Energy Saving Trust (EST) Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference, furthering both organisations’ work to champion ultra-low emission vehicle take-up.
Go Ultra Low is a joint government and car industry campaign that aims to provide consumers with relevant and key decision-making information around the switch to electric vehicles. The partnership with GUL will see the EST deliver the business-facing Go Ultra Low Fleet campaign running 1 October 2019 until 31 March 2020.
The Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference 2019 – now in its 14th year – will take place on Thursday 28 November at the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, with over 150 delegates attending to recognise and celebrate best practice across the sector.
Awards are being run across seven categories – including Electric Vehicle Hero to Future Cities Hero – with entries for six of the titles open until the deadline of 30 September 2019 ahead of a reveal of the shortlist of finalists on 5 November 2019.
Poppy Welch, head of Go Ultra Low, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference. The Energy Saving Trust is respected across the fleet industry for their independence and expertise, and Go Ultra Low is thrilled to be working with them. At Go Ultra Low our aim is simple, to increase awareness, reduce misconceptions and increase uptake of electric vehicles. The fleet industry has always been a huge driver of change, and partnering with EST, an organisation whose aims complement our own, will be a fantastic addition to the campaign.”
Tim Anderson, senior programme manager at the Energy Saving Trust, added: “What sets the Fleet Heroes Awards apart is the rigour with which we judge each and every application. In our eyes a great entry is a combination of innovation and leadership in influencing the fleet transport sector. We’re thrilled to welcome Go Ultra Low as our headline sponsor this year, to champion the outstanding work and best practice in our industry.
“The awards are free to enter and the event is free to attend. I’d encourage organisations to submit their applications to be recognised as best in class and to secure their free place to join like-minded professionals on the day.”
