All-electric car rental firm UFODRIVE has teamed up with Goodyear to improve the performance of its EV fleet, bringing a range of benefits for its rental customers.

Goodyear’s intelligent tyre monitoring system will be integrated with UFODRIVE’s rental platform, and the two firms will also conduct studies to maximise energy usage and tyre replacement cost savings

The partnership will see the integration of Goodyear’s intelligent tyre monitoring system with UFODRIVE’s rental platform.

Goodyear and UFODRIVE will also conduct studies designed to maximise energy usage and tyre replacement cost savings, as well as minimise the carbon impact of fleets.

Goodyear said the tie-up would help expand the Goodyear Total Mobility fleet solutions from its commercial truck and bus business to the rapidly evolving EV passenger fleet landscape.

Launched in 2019, the Goodyear Total Mobility end-to-end fleet offering brings together premium tyres and a package of data-driven monitoring and predictive analytics solutions to provide fleet operators with real-time tyre performance information, including pressure and temperature.

UFODRIVE added that the work would bring unique benefits to users of its eMobility platform.

“Working with a tier one mobility company like Goodyear allows UFODRIVE to expand on its mission to deliver a seamless transition to electric mobility for shared fleets,” said UFODRIVE CEO Aidan McClean. “The electric revolution is accelerating, and we are delighted to collaborate with Goodyear to pioneer unique SaaS features such as fleet utilisation maximisation, energy savings and optimised electric routing for fleet owners.”
