Homebuilder brings EV charging to headquarters
Greencore Construction has added 10 Myenergi Zappi solar-compatible EV chargers to its headquarters at Bicester, Oxfordshire.
The company, the designer and builder of Climate Positive homes, already has Zappi chargers installed at its Springfield Meadows development in Southmoor, and said it was an obvious choice to bring EV charging to its headquarters.
The new additions mean the housebuilder now has Zappi chargers in more than 60% of the parking bays at its headquarters, including one in an accessible parking bay. It’s also looking into installing a large solar array to help power both the building and the chargers.
Ian Pritchett, co-founder and growth and innovation director of Greencore Construction, said: “We go well beyond the standards set in UK home building regulations and aim to deliver homes that are incredibly efficient, designed and built with the lowest impact, to consume the lowest possible amount of energy. In Myenergi, we see a partner that also goes beyond, developing EV chargers and other smart home energy technology that exceeds customer expectations.”
Jordan Brompton, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Myenergi, added: “Our eco-smart home technology helps customers to better understand their energy, monitoring and maximising it to achieve the greatest level of self-consumption from renewable power, making them more energy independent and ultimately helping them to reduce their bills and their carbon footprint.”
