Hybrid supercars & Government EV plans come under spotlight at Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Conference

Run by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and supported by Cenex, this year’s conference takes place 6-7 November 2013 at 15Hatfields, London, UK, and will provide the opportunity to hear from engineering experts and academics discussing their recent work within the field of hybrid and electric vehicle research, development and deployment.

Keynote speakers for HEVC 2013 include Richard Thompson, business development manager, Williams Advanced Engineering, who will provide a presentation on The Development of a Hybrid Supercar. Attendees will hear how Williams Advanced Engineering has developed Jaguar’s C-X75 project to create an 800bhp supercar generating lower CO2 emissions than a Toyota Prius.

Meanwhile Michael Hurwitz, director of energy, technology and international at the Department for Transport, will speak to attendees to discuss the policy and framework around electric and hybrid vehicles and infrastructure, providing an insight into current plans and developments within the UK Government.
