Europcar has added the Hyundai Kona Electric to its expanding EV rental fleet.

The multi-award-winning fully electric SUV is available for business and leisure rentals, delivering long range and fast charging.

The popular SUV has an official range of up to 319 miles of range and a quick time of 40 minutes for a 20% to 80% recharge at rapid chargers. Equipped with futuristic looks and a connected car cockpit, the Kona Electric also provides the latest safety and entertainment tech and a comfortable, spacious interior.

Its arrival further bolsters Europcar’s fast-growing EV rental fleet and the mobility firm’s commitment to helping drivers and fleets go electric.

Tom Middleditch, head of electric mobility at Europcar, said: “The compact SUV group is increasingly popular with families and those travelling for work. Adding this model to our fleet demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with access to comfortable electric cars to help ease the transition from petrol and diesel to full electric.”

Europcar also offers a simple and convenient charging process for its electric cars and vans to give rental customers extra range and quicker drop-offs.

All Europcar fully electric vehicles are provided with a minimum 80% charge, and drivers only need to charge to 20% when they return the vehicle.

A detailed vehicle handover by a dedicated EV expert, along with access to Zapmap route planning and live charger status, also means EV rental from Europcar is convenient and efficient.

Europcar also publishes its free digital EV Guide and EV Knowledge Hub, both designed to help drivers gain a better understanding of EV life and regularly updated with latest information.

Meanwhile, the EV Showroom details features, range and charging types of all EVs on Europcar’s fleet, allowing customers to select the model best suited to their journey.
