The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) has revealed details of its first-ever annual conference, focused heavily on helping fleets with electric car and van adoption.

AFP chair Paul Hollick

AFP chair Paul Hollick said the conference will focus heavily on a range of topics surrounding the adoption of electric cars and vans

Open to all AFP members, the event takes place at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, on 18 May and will include a look at the EV charging infrastructure at home and in the office, how to reimburse your drivers for home charging costs and delivering a smart EV highway charging solution for your vehicles.

Other topics under focus include salary sacrifice deployment, and using data and telematics to optimise your fleet and monitor your EVs.

AFP chair Paul Hollick said the association was pleased to be able to unveil the plans for its annual conference and to see everyone in-person.

While it’s two years since the industry body was formed from the merger of ACFO and the ICFM, it had been prevented from running physical events due to the arrival of the Covid pandemic imminently after. Instead, almost all of its events to date have been digital.

“We’ll be announcing more details about speakers soon, as well as how to register, but 18 May is a date that all serious fleet operators should be adding to their diary, we believe,” concluded Hollick.
