LCV2013 to include keynote speech from Transport Minister

Hosted by Cenex – the UK’s first Centre of Excellence for low carbon vehicle technologies – LCV2013 takes place in Millbrook on 4-5th September 2013.

Transport Minister Norman Baker MP said, ‘The Government is making an unprecedented commitment to a low-carbon road transport future, and it is encouraging to see how the take-up of electric cars is growing.

‘Our goal is to provide clear support for investment in research and development, and clear support for the car-user as well, to make motoring greener.

‘Collaboration and sharing expertise is going to be key in driving the industry forward which is why events like LCV2013 are so invaluable.’

‘We are honoured to have Norman Baker MP join us at LCV2013,’ said Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex. ‘The recent announcements of additional Government funding for low carbon vehicle innovation highlight the strategic importance assigned to low carbon vehicle investment in the UK. Government and industry players are committed to sustained effort to support what is expected to be a gradual uptake of low carbon vehicles and we look forward to Mr Baker’s keynote address.’

LCV2013 combines a technology exhibition with broad B2B focus, a Ride & Drive in a test track environment, networking activities and an extensive seminar programme. LCV2013 delegates will be able to attend seminar sessions taking place across three conference streams over both days of the event.
