Leapmotor B10 compact SUV makes global debut at Paris Motor Show
Leapmotor International, the JV between Stellantis and China’s Leapmotor, has debuted its B10 compact SUV at the Paris Motor Show.
The first of many upcoming models that will be launched as part of Leapmotor’s B-series, the new model heralds a milestone in the brand’s international expansion.
Leapmotor has already confirmed its C10 SUV and T03 city car for Europe, and the new B10 will prove a lynchpin its plans for accessible, high-tech electric vehicles.
Expected to arrive in 2025 as a rival to the Kia EV3 and Renault 4, the B10 is built on the Leap 3.5 architecture, featuring advanced smart technologies, ADAS system and a customisable digital cockpit, “designed for tech-savvy and eco-conscious consumers”. Battery and power figures are yet to be announced.
Zhu Jiangming, founder of Leapmotor, said: “The B10 embodies our vision for an electric future – offering not only superior performance and smart connectivity, but also making that future accessible to consumers worldwide.”
The debut highlights Leapmotor’s rapid growth in Europe, with more than 200 dealers already established across 13 markets and plans for 500 sales points by 2025, drawing on the Stellantis network and servicing infrastructure.
Alongside the B10, Leapmotor also showcased other key models in its portfolio, including the C10, T03 and the C16; a six-seat SUV, designed for fast charging and spacious family use.
In the next three years, Leapmotor International’s product plan will cover the entire range of segments, from city cars to executive models, drawing on its scalable platforms and delivering fully electric engines and range extenders.
Leapmotor International will open sales in 13 European markets by the end of 2024 and will also expand into the Middle East & Africa (Turkey, Israel and overseas French territories), Asia Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia), as well as South America (Brazil and Chile) from Q4 2024.
Tianshu Xin, CEO of Leapmotor International, commented: “Leapmotor International may be a start-up, but it’s a start-up with two incredibly strong parents. One brings innovation and competitive pricing to the table, while the other – through our partnership with Stellantis – offers powerful global resources and an unmatched service infrastructure. Together, we are able to offer consumers products such as the B10, which combine cutting-edge technology with affordability.”
